They are spreading so fast and only God knows how many branches they would have in the coming years”.

While applauding the Management of Globus Bank for quality services experienced in other branches of the Bank, Apugo expressed optimism that the same feat would be replicated in Umuahia, the State capital just as he stated that the serenity of Umuahia environment will help the Bank excel and set new template in the banking system in Umuahia.

Apugo who also decried the disturbing cases of Automated Teller Machines, ATM, failing to dispense cash in most banks, selling of cash among others, called on the Management of Globus Bank, Umuahia branch to ensure that such is not witnessed by their customers, predicting that in no time, customers will be tropping in large numbers to the bank hall to open account and other business transactions.

Earlier, Sunday Ilegar, the Executive Director, Globus Bank Plc, said the bank commenced full operation on November 2019 after it was licenced by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), saying their aim is to re-shape the frontiers of banking in the country, particularly Umuahia while also fulfilling their corporate social responsibility.

He expressed optimism that the bank now in Umuahia, a serene environment, will break even with a view to meeting the financial and global needs of the customers, adding that the bank is poised to revolutionize the banking sector.

Ilegar also stated that their coming to Umuahia, is to assist in the development of the State, assuring that they will contribute their quota in creating jobs for the unemployed, while soliciting the support of Government of Abia State ably led by Governor Alex Otti, stakeholders and the general public to ensure they reshape the banking sector.

He also commended the Governor of the State, Governor Alex Otti for the infrastructure put in place in the State, noting that the serenity and infrastructure in existence in the state is what propelled them to nurse the thought of having a branch in Umuahia, the State Capital.
