The All Progressives Congress (APC) is set to welcome several state governors into its fold in the coming months, according to Dr. Ijeoma Arodiogbu, APC National Vice Chairman (South East).

In a bold declaration, Dr. Arodiogbu disclosed that governors from Bayelsa, Rivers, Plateau, Kano, and either Abia or Enugu State are poised to officially defect to the ruling party within the next two months.

“These defections are not mere speculation — they are imminent,” Arodiogbu stated confidently.

He dismissed recent moves to form an opposition coalition as political theatrics aimed at staying relevant in the media.

“This idea of forming a so-called opposition coalition is nothing but a media stunt,” he said. “These politicians just want to keep their names in the headlines. But Nigerians are aligning with a party that is delivering — and that is the APC.”

While reiterating Bayelsa’s inclusion in the plans, Arodiogbu also hinted at ongoing political overtures by Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, noting, “On Adeleke, I can’t give a definitive answer, but I know he has made moves.”

He further revealed that the party has not ruled out the possibility of Abia State Governor Alex Otti or the Enugu State governor joining the APC in the near future.
