Former Minister of Aviation and Aerospace, Hadi Abubakar Sirika, has strongly denied reports suggesting he has joined a political coalition opposed to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Sirika, in a statement released Wednesday, expressed shock over recent claims by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, during an interview on Arise TV, and a similar report published by Premium Times, quoting presidential aide, Chief Bayo Onanuga.
“I am a founding member of the APC. I gave it its name. I have no plans to leave it. I will always be where President Buhari is. If you must hate him, hate me too. I have no apology,” Sirika stated firmly.
He criticized both Wike and Onanuga for spreading what he described as false information, stressing that public figures at their level should be more responsible and verify facts before going public.
“At their levels, they ought to fact-check,” Sirika said, while urging loyal members of the APC to disregard the statements, calling them “pedestrian.”
Sirika reaffirmed his loyalty to the APC and former President Muhammadu Buhari, reiterating that his political allegiance remains unchanged.
