Abuja – The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has alleged that the wife of former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, received N4 billion monthly from the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDCfor 12 months to mobilise women in the region.
Wike made the startling revelation during a live appearance on Channels Television’s flagship political programme, Politics Today.
He challenged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to make public the forensic audit report of the NDDC, insisting that if the audit report is released and the said transaction is not reflected, he would resign as FCT Minister.

“I call on President Tinubu to release the forensic audit of the NDDC. If they release it and it’s not in the audit, I will resign as FCT Minister,” Wike declared.
The former Rivers State governor’s comments are likely to further fuel the long-standing political rivalry between him and Amaechi, also a former Rivers governor and a key figure in the Niger Delta political landscape.
