National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, has declared that Nigeria is becoming increasingly secure and attractive to investors under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whom he described as a digital President and a “deeply informed” leader.
Ribadu made the remarks on Tuesday during the 2025 National Cybersecurity Conference held in Abuja. He attributed the improved national security and stability to the strategic reforms and policies initiated by the Tinubu administration.

“Things are changing. We are stabilising the country. Forget what some people are saying — Nigeria is safer and better every single day,” Ribadu said in his keynote address.
He noted that critical regions such as the Niger Delta and South-East are experiencing growing peace and normalcy, while issuing a stern warning to those instigating unrest from abroad.
“Niger Delta is safer than ever before. The South-East is returning to normalcy. Those fueling unrest from abroad will be tracked and prosecuted. We will not allow external forces to destabilize our progress,” he stated.
Praising Tinubu’s leadership, Ribadu said, “We have quality leadership today in our country. Mr. President is a digital President. He is educated and deeply informed. People who underestimate him are doing so at their own peril.”
The NSA also took a swipe at critics of the administration, accusing them of being relics of a past era marked by mismanagement and corruption.
“These are people who looted and plundered this country. Now they are shouting on television. They are outdated. Nigeria has moved on — and Nigerians are wiser,” he asserted.
Highlighting progress in digital and cybersecurity collaboration, Ribadu revealed ongoing partnerships with major telecom operators to fortify Nigeria’s cyber defenses.
“Our cybersecurity strategy is strong. Nigeria is safe and open for business. Investors should know that Nigeria is the future of Africa,” he concluded.
