Osogbo — The Osun State House of Assembly, OSHA has extended warm regards to Governor Ademola Adeleke in the face of swirling rumours about his alleged defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC), while restating its firm commitment to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In a statement released on Wednesday, OSHA acknowledged that some of its members are in informal discussions with the leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) but emphasized that the Assembly remains loyal to the PDP.

“Although we’re aware that a larger percentage of our members are already in talks with the leadership of ADC trying to find their feet, our own loyalty remains with the party; we will not trade it for personal interest,” the statement read.

Meanwhile, in a related political development, citizens of Iragbiji have called on former Governor Gboyega Oyetola to consider vying for the governorship seat again in 2026. The call has sparked discussions in political circles about the possible rematch between Oyetola and the incumbent.

Despite the rising political undercurrents, both Governor Adeleke and Oyetola have maintained a calm and measured disposition, refraining from making provocative statements and choosing instead to focus on governance and party unity.
