Port Harcourt, July 14, 2025 — The Rivers State Judiciary has formally debunked a circulating social media report which alleged that Hon. Justice Frank Onyiri of the Rivers State High Court had issued an injunction restraining the Sole Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas (RTD), from inaugurating the newly confirmed Chairman and Members of the Rivers State Services Commission.

In an official statement signed by Menenen F. Poromon, Esq., Deputy Chief Registrar (Litigation) of the High Court, the Judiciary described the claim as “malicious, mendacious and bereft of any modicum of truth,” affirming that no such court order was issued by Justice Onyiri or any other judge of the High Court of Rivers State.
The Judiciary further urged the general public to disregard the misinformation and to seek clarification on any court-related matter only from the office of the Chief Registrar of the High Court of Rivers State.
