In a public announcement released on July 16, 2025, the board stated that the portal—https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng—dedicated to recruitment into its paramilitary agencies, will be temporarily unavailable until Monday, July 21, 2025.

According to the notice signed by the Secretary to the Board, Maj Gen AM Jibril (rtd), the decision aims to ensure that the portal can accommodate the high volume of applications effectively, while maintaining a smooth, transparent, and fair recruitment process.

“We appreciate the enthusiasm and interest of young Nigerians to serve their country through these vital agencies,” the board noted, reaffirming its commitment to a transparent and fair recruitment exercise.

The CDCFIB comprises key national services including the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nigerian Correctional Service, Federal Fire Service, and the Nigeria Immigration Service.
