Abuja – The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially confirmed Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda as the new National Chairman of the party.

The announcement was made today following a crucial NEC meeting in Abuja, where Prof. Yilwatda was immediately sworn into office.
A former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Prof. Yilwatda brings to the position a wealth of experience as a renowned academic, visionary leader, and a passionate advocate for humanitarian and poverty alleviation programmes.
Born on August 8, 1968, in Dungung, Kanke Local Government Area of Plateau State, Yilwatda is the son of the late Rev. Toma Yilwatda. His emergence as the party’s helmsman signals a new phase in the APC’s leadership dynamics ahead of the 2027 general elections.
