The crash, which also killed six others, has thrown the West African nation into mourning.

In a condolence message released by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, on August 6, President Tinubu extended his sympathy to Ghanaian President John Mahama, assuring him of Nigeria’s solidarity during this time of national grief.

“The thoughts and prayers of the government and people of Nigeria are with you,” Tinubu said.

He urged the families and the Ghanaian nation to take solace in the fact that the deceased died in patriotic service to their country.

President Tinubu prayed for the peaceful repose of the souls of the departed and for strength for those they left behind.
