16 Plateau State House of Assembly Lawmakers sacked by the Appeal Court vow to resume sitting tomorrow, declare that the supreme court judgment which validated the election of Governor Caleb Mutfwang has also vindicated them.
The 16 PDP assembly members who were sacked also confirmed that their supporters are also going to be at the state assembly to show their solidarity in view of the pronouncements of the supreme court.
It could be recalled that the court of Appeal sitting in Laos sacked 16 members of the Plateau state House of Assembly elected under the platform of the PDP, the court based its judgement on a high court ruling which notified the congress that produced the leadership of the party in the state and the ruling was never applied by the party.
The Supreme during its Judgement on the Governorship appeal brought before it by the Governor of the state acknowledged that the appeal court judgement has caused so many pains to some people in the state and set aside the judgment of the lower court to affirm the election of Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang as the duly elected elected Governor of the state.
The 16 members of the State House of Assembly were elected under the platform of the PDP will be storming the state house of Assembly tomorrow to resume their normal activities as elected members of the house.
At the wake of that judgement the speaker of the Plateau state house of assembly Rt Hon Gabriel Dewan said he will never recognize the 16 members of the APC as members of the state House of Assembly.
