Rivers state Governor Sim Fubara has approved the appointment of the former factional speaker of the Rivers state House of Assembly Edison Ehie as chief of staff to the Governor.
Ehie was part of the four lawmakers who stood by the Governor during the political crisis in the state which led to an attempt to impeach the Governor by the Martin led faction of the state House of Assembly, which led to the burning of the House.
In a release signed by the state SSG the Governor also approved the appointment of :
1. DR. Darlington Orji.
2. PRINCE Solomon Abel Eke.
3. BARR. AMINAYANASAM FIBERESIMA
4. ENGR. DEEYAH BARIENE.
5. Ohia Prince, as Special Advisers.
The newly appointed Chief of Staff and Special Advisers alongside one guest each are expected to be seated at the Executive Council Chambers of the Government House, Monday, 29th January, 2024 at 10:30am, for the swearing- in ceremony by His Excellency, the Governor of Rivers State at 11:00am.
