A Chieftain of the All Progress Congress (APC) in Abia State, Lady Blessing Nwokonneya has bore her mind on the recent gale of defections of politicians from various political parties to the ruling All Progressive Congress, in Abia State.
In a chat with Newsmen early in the week, Lady Nwokonneya described the development as a “welcomed one”, and commended the defectors for their decisions and foresight in pitching tent with the APC, explaining that the Party has enough broom for everyone.
Lady Nwokonneya who is the Patron of Ndị Uwaoma Foundation who confessed that the mass influx of the new party members gladdens her heart, explained that such high profile defections as recently witnessed in Abia State in general and Isiala Ngwa South LGA in particular would not have been possible if not for the pragmatism and political sagacity of key leaders of the party, and assured the new members that they will be accorded all rights and privileges due to any card carrying member of the party.
The APC Candidate for House of Representatives in 2019 General Election for Isiala Ngwa North and South Federal Constituency, opined that more people are expected to join the party in the coming days, and expressed optimism that the party is stronger, more formidable and better positioned as the party to beat in the coming elections while calling all party faithful to keep faith with the President Ahmed Tinubu “Renewed Hope” agenda for the country.
“Let me use this medium to urge Nigerians to be patient with the president and his team. With the Economic policies so far put in place, Nigerian economically will bounce back and stronger again”, She concluded.
