President Bola Tinubu, GCFR, has officially sworn in Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun as the 23rd Chief Justice of Nigeria. The swearing-in ceremony took place on Friday at the Council Chamber of the State House, Abuja.

Justice Kekere-Ekun took the oath of office and signed the oath register at exactly 11:40 a.m. The appointment is pending confirmation by the Senate, marking a significant moment in Nigeria’s judiciary.

Justice Kekere-Ekun’s ascension to the role of Chief Justice follows a distinguished career on the bench, where she has been recognized for her commitment to justice and the rule of law. Her appointment is expected to bring continued integrity and professionalism to the nation’s highest court.

The ceremony was attended by key government officials and members of the judiciary, including the Governor of Lagos State Babajide Sanwolu.
