Popular Nigerian crossdresser, Okuneye Idris Olarenwaju, widely known as Bobrisky, has responded to circulating claims that he allegedly paid the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) ₦15 million to avoid imprisonment.

In a statement shared on his social media page, Bobrisky refuted the rumors, calling them “a very big lie.” He stated, “I didn’t pay any EFCC money. I served my term in full, and I came out.” He urged the public to disregard any false information concerning his case.

Addressing a voice recording that has been making rounds online, Bobrisky expressed disbelief at the lengths some individuals go to spread misinformation. He emphasized that there was no truth to the claims and clarified that any perceived inconsistencies were due to a typo in his initial post.

Bobrisky’s clarification comes after allegations surfaced that he bribed officials to avoid jail time following his arrest for money laundering and spraying cash publicly.
