Hon. Amobi Godwin Ogah, the Member representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, has officially withdrawn as Chairman of the campaign council for the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) in the upcoming Local Government Area (LGA) elections in Isuikwuato.

In a statement addressed to Chinedu Ekeke and Ifeanyi Njoko, Ogah expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in him but cited two key reasons for his withdrawal. He noted that he currently holds the mandate of the people of Isuikwuato/Umunneochi under the Labour Party, making it inappropriate for him to lead the ZLP campaign council. Additionally, he stated that there has been no official directive from the state government, led by Governor Alex Chioma Otti, regarding support for the ZLP in the elections.

Hon. Ogah expressed regret for any inconvenience caused by his decision and wished the campaign team success in their electoral aspirations.

The Statement reads:

PRESS RELEASE

*Notice of Withdrawal from Chairman of Campaign Council*

Please my dear brothers, Chinedu Ekeke and Ifeanyi Njoko I wish to use this medium to inform you that I read the inclusion of my name as the Chairman of your campaign council under Zenith Labour Party in the forthcoming LGA elections for Isuikwuato LGA. I appreciate your believe in me to lead this onerous task.
Regrettably, be informed that I cannot champion this cause due to the following reasons;
1. I am holding the mandate of the people of Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency under Labour Party.
2. The State Government under the leadership of His Excellency, Dr Alex Chioma Otti OFR has not officially directed support for Zenith Labour Party (ZLP).
Accept my withdrawal in good faith and best of lucks to your aspirations.
The inconveniences caused by my withdrawal to you and other members of the council is highly regrettable.

*Hon. Amobi Godwin Ogah FCE*
