Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has turned down a proposed move to Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal, despite a €75 million agreement between the Saudi club and Napoli.
Sources close to the player confirm that Osimhen has rejected personal terms with Al Hilal, making it clear he is not interested in joining the Saudi Pro League at this stage of his career.
Napoli had reached a club-to-club agreement with Al Hilal, but Osimhen’s refusal effectively halts the deal.
With the deal now off the table, Turkish champions Galatasaray are reportedly set to step up efforts to land the Nigerian forward, reopening what promises to be a heated transfer race this summer.
Osimhen, who scored 15 goals in 25 Serie A matches during the 2024/25 season, is seen as one of the hottest properties in the European market. He has previously been linked with Chelsea, PSG, and Manchester United.
The 25-year-old’s stance signals a clear preference to remain in European football, with more top clubs expected to enter the race in the coming days.
