Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso has formally resigned from the Young Progressives Party (YPP), ending his affiliation with the party effective immediately.

In a letter addressed to the YPP Ward Chairman in Igbere Ward A, Bende LGA, Anyaso described the decision as a difficult one, given the time, work, and resources he had invested in the party. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to have contested as the Deputy Governorship Candidate in the 2023 general elections under the YPP.

“It was an honor to represent the ideals of YPP and to engage with the people of Abia State under its banner,” he wrote, reflecting on the party’s pivotal role in promoting political liberation in the state.

Anyaso commended the party’s leadership for their camaraderie and support, and reaffirmed his commitment to the ideals of service, progress, and unity. He also hinted at future collaborations with like-minded individuals dedicated to societal advancement.

The resignation letter was copied to the National Chairman of the YPP and the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja.
