YPP Abia State chapter, has dismissed claims suggesting the collapse of its party structure following recent defections to a factional Labour Party.

In a statement issued on Friday, the state chairman, Hon. Uluocha Nelcinn Chimex, described the allegations as baseless and unreflective of the party’s current standing. “We understand and respect the decisions of those who have chosen to leave, but their exit does not translate to the weakening of our structure,” he said.

Engr. Nwafor Enyinnaya, leader of the party in the state, reinforced that the YPP remains vibrant and is continually attracting fresh, committed members. He emphasized the party’s ongoing grassroots mobilization and its focus on youth and professional inclusion.

The party also expressed strong support for Governor Alex Otti, praising his achievements in governance and infrastructure. “YPP appreciates Dr. Alex Otti for his giant strides and visionary leadership in Abia,” the statement added.

Reiterating its commitment to development and internal democracy, the YPP pledged to remain a driving force for positive change in Abia State.
