The Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Umuahia, Abia State, has announced vacancies for internship positions across various medical disciplines. Applications are now open for qualified and suitably experienced candidates to join the Centre as interns in the following fields:
Available Internship Positions and Requirements
1. Intern Nurses
Qualifications:
B.Sc. in Nursing Science or its equivalent from a recognized university.
Temporary practicing license from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
Note: Graduates who obtained their degree before 2017 are not eligible to apply.
Salary: CONHESS 07 Step 01
2. Intern Radiographers
Qualifications:
B.Sc. in Radiography or equivalent.
Registration and current practicing license from the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria.

3. Intern Medical Laboratory Scientists
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS).
Registration and provisional license from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria.
Salary: CONHESS 08 Step 01
4. Intern Pharmacists
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) degree.
Registration with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).
Salary: CONHESS 08 Step 01
5. Intern Dietitians
Qualifications:
B.Sc. in Human Nutrition and Dietetics.
Professional registration and NYSC discharge certificate.
Salary: CONHESS 07 Step 01
6. Intern Dental Technologists
Qualifications:
B.Tech or HND in Dental Technology.
Temporary registration from the Dental Technologists Registration Board of Nigeria (DTRBN).
Salary: CONHESS 07 Step 01
7. Intern Dental Therapists
Qualifications:
HND in Dental Therapy.
Registration with the Dental Therapists Registration Board of Nigeria (DTHRBN).
Salary: CONHESS 07 Step 01
8. Intern Physiotherapists
Qualifications:
Degree in Physiotherapy.
Registration with the Medical Rehabilitation Therapist Registration Board of Nigeria.
Salary: CONHESS 08 Step 01
