The official X (formerly Twitter) account of Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has been hacked. This was confirmed in a statement issued on X by one of the governor’s media aides, who goes by the handle @AdamawaLastBorn.

“This is to notify the general public that the official X handle of His Excellency Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has been hacked. Currently trying to retrieve @GovernorAUF back. Thank you!” the aide posted.
Checks on the governor’s X account reveal suspicious activities promoting cryptocurrency schemes—an indication that the account is now under unauthorized control. The page, previously used for official government communications and public service announcements, has been compromised and is now being used for non-government-related promotions.
Efforts are reportedly underway by the governor’s media team to regain control of the account. Members of the public are advised to disregard any posts from the account until further notice.
