Contrary to widespread rumours, Mr. Jude Ezenwafor is alive after surviving an assassination attempt in Abuja on July 18, 2025.

According to multiple reports, including Daily Post and PM News, Ezenwafor sustained gunshot wounds when unknown gunmen attacked him in the Federal Capital Territory. He is currently undergoing surgery to remove bullets lodged in his body.

 

Sources close to the family have debunked claims circulating on social media suggesting he had died from the attack.

Mr Jude Ezenwafor is the Governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in the November 8th, 2025 Governorship Election in the State.

More details are expected as his medical team continues treatment.
