Umudike – The Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU), has officially announced the restoration and full accreditation of its Management Science programmes. This move paves the way for the admission of candidates into the College of Management Sciences (COLMAS) for the 2025/2026 academic year.

In a statement signed by the Registrar and Secretary to Council, Dr. (Mrs.) Nkeiruka Charity Mbanasor, the University confirmed that prospective students who scored 150 and above in the 2025/2026 JAMB Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) can now select MOUAU as their first choice institution to study any of the following accredited programmes:

  1. B.Sc. Accounting
  2. B.Sc. Banking and Finance
  3. B.Sc. Business Administration
  4. B.Sc. Economics
  5. B.Sc. Marketing
  6. B.Sc. Entrepreneurial Studies
  7. B.Sc. Industrial Relations and Personnel Management

The Registrar clarified that five of these programmes (Accounting, Banking and Finance, Business Administration, Economics, and Marketing) were previously delisted by JAMB in 2019. However, after thorough reforms and improvements, these courses have now been restored by the Federal Government, attained full accreditation by the National Universities Commission (NUC), and listed in the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) for admission starting from the 2024/2025 academic session.

Eligible candidates are urged to visit the JAMB portal to change their first choice institution to MOUAU and select from the available courses. Following this, candidates should visit the university website (www.mouau.edu.ng) to register and begin the screening process for admission.

The College of Management Sciences (COLMAS), according to the statement, boasts a highly experienced and professionally competent academic staff along with modern resources to equip students with skills and knowledge necessary for success in the business and economic sectors.
