The Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State, has officially announced the commencement of applications for admission into its 12th Regular Course Degree Programmes. This opportunity is open to qualified and interested Nigerian citizens.

Application Period

The online portal will be accessible for six weeks—from July 28, 2025, to September 8, 2025. Applicants must complete the application process within this period via www.admission.polac.edu.ng

 

Admission Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

 

Be of Nigerian origin and possess a valid National Identity Number (NIN).

 

Have a 2025 UTME result with at least 180 marks, selecting Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil as their first choice.

 

Possess a minimum of 6 credits in no more than two sittings in WAEC/NECO or equivalent, including English and Mathematics.

 

Be between 16 and 21 years old by October 31, 2025.

 

Meet the medical, physical, and psychological fitness standards, with males not less than 1.67m tall and females not less than 1.64m.

 

Male applicants must have an expanded chest measurement of not less than 86cm (34 inches).

 

Married persons and pregnant women are not eligible.

 

A valid email address and phone number is required.

 

Only results from 2021 onward will be accepted.

 

 

Application Method

Applicants must visit the Academy’s portal to obtain or generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) code and pay a non-refundable fee of ₦5,000 (₦2,000 for Post-UTME). Payment can be made at any commercial bank. Applicants will then complete the online application and upload scanned copies of required documents including birth certificate, academic credentials, certificate of origin, and recommendation letters.

 

Selection Process

Qualified candidates will undergo the following:

 

Aptitude Test (Computer-Based)

 

Automated Physical Screening

 

Medical Screening

 

Interview/Selection Exercise

 

 

Successful candidates will be notified via email and SMS. Training for selected applicants will commence at the Academy at a later date.

Programme Duration & Benefits

Admitted students will undergo a combined academic and police training for five years. Graduates will be commissioned into the Nigeria Police Force as Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP).
