The telecom giant attributed the impressive performance to a combination of high demand, price adjustments implemented mainly in the second quarter, and the steady growth of its active data user base.
According to the company, its active data subscribers rose by 11.8% to 51 million, while its total mobile subscriber base grew by 6.7% to 84.7 million.
Additionally, average data usage per subscriber climbed by 26.3% to 13.2 GB, driven by a smartphone penetration rate of 62.6% and a 41.2% surge in overall data traffic.
MTN Nigeria’s continued investment in digital infrastructure and customer-centric services appears to be fueling its upward trajectory in a competitive market.
