The deputy governor of Edo State Philip Shaibu has emerged winner of the parallel primaries of the People’s Democratic Party PDP in Edo State.

The deputy governor won the parallel primaries with over three hundred and one votes while the Godwin Obaseki faction of the party is yet to commence the election.

Shaibu won the parallel primaries with over 301 votes while the Governor Obaseki faction of the party is yet to commence the election.

While another Primary is going on at the Samual OGBEMUDIA stadium in Benin city the Edo state capital, the Primaries is being conducted by PDP Primary Election Committee led by H.E. Dauda Lawal as Chairman ⁠and H.E. Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori  as Co-Chairman.

Governor Obaseki anointed candidate Dr Asue Ighodalo is expected to emerge as the candidate of the party from that faction.
