Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Otti, has presented staff of office to the General Overseer of Omega Power Ministry OPM, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere as the traditional ruler of Ikwu Orie Ohanku Ndoki Autonomous Community in Ukwa East LGA.
Speaking while presenting the staff of office and letter of recognition to the traditional ruler, the governor represented by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Prince Uzo Nwachukwu, said the event followed the overwhelming acceptance and presentation of the Apostle as the Eze-elect by the community.
The governor, while congratulating the Apostle on the new position, challenged him to justify the confidence reposed in him by his people, and also urged the community to give him the necessary support to succeed.
The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs Florence Nwogu and Director of Chieftaincy, Chuka Agomoh, said that Apostle Chibuzor met all the requirements to become a monarch and was unanimously endorsed for the job.
A member of the community, Mr Kenneth Nwachi, said the people were excited by the presentation of the staff of office to the new traditional ruler.
Responding, Apostle Chibuzor said he took up the role in order to engender peace and prosperity in the community.
