An X user( formerly known as twitter) DatAbiribaGirl has accused men of the Nigeria police attached to Azuka police station Aba of beating her up after arresting the husband.
According to the video she posted on her X (formerly known as Twitter) handle she said the Husband was arrested where he was drinking and brought him to Azuka police station, she came to see the husband and they started beating.
She wrote on her X (formerly known as Twitter) handle “Police are beating me in Azuka police station, Aba, Abia State, and they said I can’t do anything all because they arrested my husband illegally this night”.
The post which got the attention of X users in Nigeria as people helped in reaching out to the Nigeria police, a Twitter user by name @paulchinomso shared his chat with police CRU unit Aba on the issue, please refer to their response below.
I’m a quick response to the tweet PPRO Abia state command ASP Maureen Chinkaa tweeted “Serious investigation started immediately I saw this. I am in touch with the woman. I will revert to the public on the investigation outcome”.
He has been arraigned at Magistrate court in Aba, Aba north Local Government this morning.
