The immediate past Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu, PhD, has been inducted into the prestigious College of Fellows of the Nigerian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. The induction ceremony took place today at the University of Port Harcourt.
Dr. Ikpeazu was honored for his significant contributions to the fields of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Originally scheduled for the previous day, the investiture was postponed to accommodate Dr. Ikpeazu’s arrival from an international trip and other engagements in Lagos.
Dr. Ikpeazu boasts an impressive academic background, holding Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degrees in various aspects of Biochemistry. He has an extensive teaching history at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels across multiple Nigerian universities. He has published over 80 scientific articles in local and international journals and co-authored the book “The Biochemistry of Environmental Pollution.” Dr. Ikpeazu is also a Fellow of the Nigerian Environmental Society.
Expressing his gratitude, Dr. Ikpeazu shared his aspirations to attain Professorship in Biochemistry, continuing his dedication to advancing scientific knowledge in the field.
