The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has clarified the recent events surrounding the social media influencer, Verydarkman (VDM). Contrary to widespread reports, VDM was not arrested but was invited for questioning regarding allegations of cyberstalking, cyberbullying, and defamation of character.
According to SP Josephine Adeh, the Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the FCT Police Command, VDM was asked to provide a statement voluntarily concerning the allegations. Following his cooperation and the submission of his statement, VDM has since been released.
This clarification comes amid public concern and misinformation about the nature of VDM’s interaction with law enforcement. The police emphasize their commitment to upholding justice and proper investigative procedures in handling such cases.
