Chinese President Xi Jinping has extended an invitation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a state visit to China in September. The invitation was delivered by China’s Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chen Xiaodong, at the Aso Villa on Thursday.
Chen, who arrived with a large entourage, conveyed President Xi’s anticipation of welcoming both President Tinubu and First Lady Remi Tinubu during the visit.
President Tinubu accepted the invitation, expressing his hope that the visit would further strengthen Nigeria-China bilateral relations and advance the proposed currency swap agreement between the two nations.
