… Reaffirms Commitment to Workers’ Welfare in Edo State
BENIN CITY, Edo State Nigeria.
Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has pledged that his administration will ensure workers in Edo State receive the best remuneration in the country. Addressing civil and public servants at the John Odigie Oyegun Public Service Academy in Benin City, Obaseki emphasized the government’s dedication to investing in the workforce to boost motivation and productivity.
The governor praised the relentless efforts of the workers in the state’s development and assured them of a conducive working environment and appropriate incentives reflecting their contributions. He highlighted the administration’s achievements in training over 2,700 civil and public servants in digitization, information technology, and digital transformation as part of the state’s digital economy initiatives.
“We have built and strengthened institutions to sustain e-governance reforms and other initiatives in the civil and public service,” Obaseki stated. “The new Edo will be driven by you, using technology. Promotion will consider your training in technology to enable career advancement. We will ensure no state pays higher wages than Edo State.”
Governor Obaseki affirmed his commitment to continue working diligently until the end of his tenure to sustain the progress made in the last eight years.
