The Akwa Ibom State Government has announced the death of Pastor Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, the wife of the state’s governor, Pastor Umo Eno.
In an official statement released by the State Commissioner for Information, Ini Ememobong, on the morning of September 27, it was revealed that Mrs. Eno passed away on September 26 following an illness, the details of which have not been disclosed. The statement, titled “Unexpected Sunset,” expressed deep sorrow over her passing and noted that she died peacefully in the presence of her family at the hospital.
The statement reads, “It is with heavy hearts that we (Akwa Ibom Government) announce the passing of the Wife of the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Her Excellency, Pastor Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, following an illness. She passed away peacefully at the hospital, on 26th September, 2024, in the presence of her family.”
The government extended condolences to the grieving family and urged the public to offer prayers and support during this difficult time. The family has requested privacy as they mourn, with further details to be provided as necessary.
