Former Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola, is reportedly being considered to replace Femi Gbajabiamila as Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu. Sources within the Presidency revealed that if Fashola declines the offer, alternative candidates are being considered, with Hakimi Muruogun, the current Principal Secretary to the President, being the top contender for the position.

In addition to the anticipated changes in the Chief of Staff role, there are reports of an impending cabinet reshuffle that could see eleven ministers exit the administration. Among the expected changes, Taiwo Oyedele, chairman of the Presidential Tax Reform Committee, is likely to be appointed as the Minister of State for Finance.

Other ministers who may be removed from their posts include:
– Tunji Ojo, Minister of Interior
– Bosun Tijani, Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy
– Minister of State for Environment and Ecological Management
– Atiku Bagudu, Minister of Budget and Economic Planning
– Doris Aniete, Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment

Additionally, the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, currently headed by Betta Edu, is rumored to be at risk of being scrapped as part of the reorganization.
