…. Suspends Withholding Tax Deductions
Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, has declared the immediate implementation of a new minimum wage of N72,500 for all civil servants in the state. This move is part of the administration’s effort to improve the welfare of public sector workers and support their economic well-being.
In addition to the new wage policy, Governor Ododo announced a one-year suspension of withholding tax deductions from the salaries of civil servants. The tax relief is expected to ease the financial burden on workers and provide temporary respite in the face of current economic challenges.
The state government has assured civil servants that these measures are geared toward enhancing their livelihoods and boosting productivity in the public sector.
