The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has approved the timetable for the 2025 Zonal Congresses to elect new Zonal Working Committee (ZWC) members and National Ex-officio members. This decision, made at the NWC’s 592nd meeting, comes in preparation for the expiration of the current Zonal Executives in the South-South, South-East, South-West, North-Central, and North-East zones.
According to the timetable, the sale of forms for all ZWC positions and National Ex-officio seats will commence on Monday, November 18, 2024, and close on Wednesday, December 18, 2024. The deadline for submitting completed forms is Friday, January 17, 2025. Screening of aspirants will be held at zonal headquarters on Saturday, January 25, 2025, with appeals set for Saturday, February 1, 2025.
Zonal congresses for the North-East, South-East, and South-South regions are scheduled for Saturday, February 22, 2025, with appeal hearings on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. The North-Central and South-West congresses will follow on Saturday, March 22, 2025, with appeals on Wednesday, March 26, 2025.
The NWC urges all party members, stakeholders, and leaders to remain united and committed to the progress of the PDP.
