Dr. Aliyu Audu, the Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, has formally resigned from his position with immediate effect. The resignation was conveyed in an official letter addressed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu through the Chief of Staff and dated June 8, 2025.

In the letter, Dr. Audu expressed deep gratitude to President Tinubu for the opportunity to serve under his leadership, describing it as an honour to contribute to the administration’s public communication efforts.

He also thanked Mr. Ajuri Ngelale, former Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, for his role in facilitating the appointment despite their brief acquaintance. Dr. Audu’s nomination was approved on August 26, 2023, and he officially assumed office on October 9, 2023.
