Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has advised Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, to reconcile political differences with President Bola Tinubu in order to attract more federal support and development to the state.

Speaking in Gusau on Monday during the inauguration of the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development and the renovated Zamfara College of Arts and Science, the Abia North senator emphasized the need for political cooperation over partisanship.

“The President is my brother and my friend. We’ve resolved our political differences for the greater good,” Kalu said. “Governor Lawal, I know you are PDP and the President is APC, but economic diplomacy should come first. Aligning with the centre will benefit Zamfara.”

Kalu stressed that focusing on politics over economic collaboration could cost the state vital federal funding. He also urged Lawal to work with former Governor Abdul’aziz Yari, saying unity among political leaders in the state is crucial for progress.

“Don’t abandon federal opportunities because of politics. Develop Zamfara first,” he added.
