President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to economic reforms that prioritize ease of doing business, critical infrastructure, and sustainable growth. Represented by the Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment, Senator John Eno, the President addressed stakeholders at the 65th Annual General Meeting of NACCIMA and the investiture of Engineer Jani Ibrahim as the association’s new president.
President Tinubu emphasized that a market-driven, private-sector-led economy backed by public-private partnerships is essential to national prosperity. He encouraged NACCIMA to work closely with federal ministries to attract investment and drive trade. The President also congratulated Engr. Jani Ibrahim and urged him to champion reforms that would strengthen policy advocacy and enterprise development.
Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, represented by his deputy, and Attorney General of the Federation Lateef Fagbemi also highlighted the need for coordinated legal and policy reforms to boost investor confidence. Fagbemi SAN pointed to the Business Facilitation Act 2023, Arbitration and Mediation Act 2023, and new national justice policies as critical tools for enhancing commerce and dispute resolution.
In his acceptance speech, Engr. Jani Ibrahim pledged to reposition NACCIMA as a catalyst for economic transformation.
