Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has reaffirmed his unwavering loyalty to the Labour Party, dismissing speculations of his involvement in any political coalition or plans to defect to another party.

Speaking in Umuahia during an interactive session with members of the Abia State Global Economic Council, Governor Otti made it clear that he has not attended any coalition meetings, nor has he received any invitation to such gatherings.

“I’m not in any coalition. I remain a committed member of the Labour Party,” Otti declared. “My focus is on the mandate given to me by the people of Abia. I am not interested in political distractions or decamping.”

Addressing concerns about an alleged crisis within the Labour Party, the governor acknowledged internal challenges but noted that the party had successfully defended itself through the nation’s highest court.

“Yes, there was a crisis, but we fought through it, even up to the Supreme Court, to reclaim our party,” he stated.
