The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has approved the timetable and schedule of activities for its 2025 Elective National Convention.

This decision was reached during the party’s 101st NEC meeting held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, where extensive deliberations were made on the state of the party and future plans.
According to the approved schedule, the Elective National Convention—where new national officers of the PDP will be elected—is set to take place from Saturday, November 15 to Sunday, November 16, 2025, in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.
Following this development, the NEC has directed the National Chairman of the PDP, His Excellency, Ambassador Iliya Damagum, and the National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, to formally notify the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of the convention details, including the time, venue, and agenda.
This directive is in compliance with Section 82(1) of the Electoral Act, 2022, and Part 2(12) of the 2022 Regulations and Guidelines for Political parties.
