The National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM), Federal Medical Centre, Gusau chapter, has officially announced its participation in the nationwide strike organized by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC). The decision follows a directive from NANNM’s National office.
In a letter addressed to the Medical Director of the Federal Medical Centre in Gusau, the association indicated that its members would join the strike effective from 10:00 am today. The communication, signed by Unit PRO Comrade Salisu Abubakar, emphasized that the strike is indefinite.
The announcement reads: “We write to bring to the notice of the management that we are in receipt of directive from NANNM National to embark on NLC/TUC nationwide strike. Hence, we have directed our members to join the strike with effect from 10:00 am today.”
