The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, is set to officially unveil the new Abia State Secretariat of the Online Media Practitioners of Nigeria (OMPAN) at 12 PM on Monday, August 5, 2024. The secretariat is located at No 53 Eket Street, by Enugu Road, Umuahia, Abia State.
In a joint statement, Chairman Chief Promise Uzoma Okoro and General Secretary Dr. Steve Unegbu described the unveiling as a significant milestone in the association’s history. They invited media stakeholders, partners, corporate bodies, private individuals, well-wishers, and the general public to attend the event.
“This is a milestone in our history as Online Media Practitioners. We are inviting all lovers of good things to join us on Monday as our own Deputy Speaker Rt Hon Benjamin Kalu unveils our State Secretariat,” the statement read.
The event is expected to draw a wide array of attendees, highlighting the growing importance and influence of online media in the region.
