The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has officially announced new dates for the party congresses in Abia and Ebonyi States, following a postponement earlier communicated to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). In a letter dated October 15, 2024, addressed to the INEC Chairman, the PDP outlined the rescheduled timeline for the congresses.
According to the letter signed by the Acting National Chairman, H.E. Amb. Umar Illiya Damagum, and the National Secretary, Sen. Samuel N. Anyanwu, the new schedule is as follows:
Ward Congresses to elect Ward Executives and 3 Ad-Hoc Delegates Saturday, October 19, 2024
LGA Congresses to elect LGA Executives and National Delegates Saturday, October 26, 2024
State Congress to elect State Executive Officers Saturday, November 2, 2024
This latest communication supersedes the previous notice issued on October 14, 2024. The party expressed its gratitude for INEC’s cooperation and urged the commission to take note of the changes.
