Abia is seriously taking the lead in south East so long as the media industry is concerned, initially in Abia & South East in general, radio stations were mainly run by the Government just like BCA 88.1 FM owned and managed by Abia state Government, Pacesetter Fm owned and managed by the Federal Government, Heartland Fm & Orient Fm owerri owned and managed by Federal Government and Imo State Government respectively.
Today the Abia has taken broadcast journalism to another level with a series of stations owned by both Government and Private individuals.
