Hon. Francis Ejiroghene Waive, a member of the House of Representatives, has praised Delta State Governor Rt. Hon. (Elder) Sheriff Oborevwori for his unprecedented gesture of providing operational vehicles to members of the National Assembly from Delta State. In a letter dated May 4, 2024, and officially received by the Governor’s office on June 5, 2024, Waive expressed his gratitude and acknowledged the Governor’s inclusive approach, which transcends political party affiliations.

Waive, who represents Ughelli North/Ughelli South/Udu Federal Constituency and serves as the Chairman of the House Committee on Rules and Business, highlighted that this is the first time in history that such a gesture has been extended to all Delta State National Assembly members, regardless of their political party. He stated, “Today I received mine and all of us in the Delta caucus of the 10th National Assembly appreciate you.”

In his letter, Waive emphasized that Governor Oborevwori’s actions demonstrate his commitment to being a Governor for all Deltans. He remarked, “You have demonstrated again and again that you are Governor of all Deltans. And posterity will not forget you.” Waive also noted that this initiative marks a new dawn in the state’s polity, urging the Governor to continue such inclusive policies for the benefit of the state.
