The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed, has warned motorists to desist from offering bribes to its patrol officers when apprehended for traffic violations.
He emphasized that all fines must be paid through designated banks, warning that any attempt to offer money or other forms of gratification to FRSC personnel is a criminal offence.
Reiterating the Corps’ zero-tolerance stance on bribery and corruption, Mohammed stated that violators will be arrested and prosecuted in accordance with the FRSC Establishment Act of 2007.
He stressed that corruption undermines the values and ethics of the FRSC and will not be condoned under any circumstance.
