Makurdi, Saturday, July 5, 2025 — Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia of Benue State has approved a new round of appointments into various parastatals and agencies across the state.
The appointments, according to a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Sir Tersoo Kula, are part of ongoing efforts to reposition government institutions for improved service delivery, efficiency, and accountability.
The appointees, who are expected to assume office on July 7, 2025, were selected based on their proven track records of competence, integrity, and dedication to duty.

Governor Alia congratulated the new officials and urged them to live up to the expectations of their new roles by aligning with the administration’s vision of transforming Benue State.

In a related directive, the acting Executive Secretary of the Teaching Service Board and the acting Chairman of the Benue Internal Revenue Service (BIRS) have been asked to report to the Head of Service for reassignment. Similarly, the acting General Manager of the Benue State Environmental Sanitation and Waste Management Agency (BENSESSA) is to report back to the Governor’s Office.
