Abuja — Prince Isaac Fayose has submitted a formal petition to the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB), requesting the release of the asset declaration documents of Barr. Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, the current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja. The request, dated July 21, 2025, is made under the provisions of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act 2011.

In the letter, which was shared publicly via social media, Prince Fayose stated:

“I, Isaac Fayose of the above contact address, hereby write and apply pursuant to the provision of the Freedom of Information Act 2011 as Amended to formally request for the release of a copy of the Assets Declaration Form submitted by Barr. Ezenwo Nyesom Wike CON who currently occupies the public office as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja which is in your custody.”

He further asserted that the form should be available under Section 1 of the FOI Act and referenced Section 4(a) of the Act which mandates timely disclosure of requested information.

Prince Fayose emphasized the importance of transparency and accountability in public office and stated his willingness to pay any required processing fees. He called for the information to be released within seven days of receipt of the request, as stipulated by law.

The petition has generated public interest on social media, with many Nigerians commenting on the potential implications of such disclosures on public trust and governance.

As of the time of filing this report, the Code of Conduct Bureau has yet to respond publicly to the request.
