The Nigeria Labour Congress has set the new minimum wage for employees in the South-West geopolitical zone at N794,000.
This arises amidst the discussion on determining the appropriate new minimum wage in light of the present economic circumstances.
During her address at the current public hearing of the Tripartite Committee on National Minimum Wage in Ikeja, Lagos, the Lagos State NLC chapter chairperson, Funmi Sessi, disclosed the specific numerical value.
Sessi stated that this was the collective agreement reached by all members of the union in the South-West region.
